Weapons capable of destroying large numbers of people, settlements and areas at once. Nuclear, biological and chemical weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction. In addition, explosives and incendiary weapons reinforced with various attachments are also considered weapons of mass destruction. The use of Weapons of Mass Destruction is prohibited in the sections on the law of war in the Geneva Conventions.
