Just War Theory
Just war theory is a concept related to the nature of war. It is the use of armed forces of a ruler in Medieval Europe for just reasons outside of his domination area. At that time, every war to advance Christianity was seen as just, after the 19th century, the righteous war was seen as the struggle of the peoples of the imperialist states for freedom. The criterion for being a just war depends on the existence of a just cause. The aim of the just war is defense, not attack.
The theory that includes all ideas about determining when the use of force can be justified is called the just war theory. This theory has two different dimensions. The first is jus ad bellum (just cause, lawfulness, proportionality, goodwill, resorting to war as a last resort, pursuing peace); The second is the jus in bello (civil immunity and proportionality) principle, which includes two conditions describing the justification of the use of force in war.
