The negative shape of the tendency towards different ethnic groups as a result of developments such as the increasing differences in the economic, social and political fields with globalization, the complexity of the bilateral relations network and the polarization, explains us the concept of "ethnic conflict".
Ethnic conflict; It is a form of conflict that is generally not related to ethnic differences, but rather related to political, social, cultural, economic or regional issues, seen as a threat to international peace and security, and also leads to instability. Ethnic conflicts are accompanied by human rights violations, genocide, and crimes against humanity.
When the literature on ethnic conflicts is examined, it has been seen that the concept is associated with feelings that include victimization, hurt, fear, and shame, and that it is words that create an environment that can cause conflicts. In addition, states witness ethnic conflicts if they cannot gain legitimacy over their societies. Failed states create favorable conditions for the emergence of these conflicts.
