Terrorism Analysis Platform (TAP) is an open-source database containing domestic and international terrorist attacks and counter-terrorism operations around the world from 1970 through 2020. TAP project emerged as an idea to systematically analyze the PKK terrorism and its impact on Turkey, then it evolved into an international terrorism database particularly focusing on the terrorism-related events in the MENA region. TAP includes more than 40.000 terrorism events covering over 25.000 attacks and 15.000 counter-terrorism operations.
TAP aims to provide comprehensive analyses to benefit professionals in the national security and intelligence community, practitioners, academics, and researchers who work on terrorism studies.
TAP emerged as a project in 2017 and was supported by STM and SETA Foundation.
